According to IAEG Global Indicator nearly 2/3 of the world continues to strive against corruption and bribery. The research outcome shows that the most affected countries are within the regions of Central and South Asia and Western Africa, where approximately 46% of the responders have committed at least one paid bribe during a contact with a public official since the previous 12 months.
These rates appear to be even more disturbing for the financial sector worldwide since 2/3 of the states have reported business paid bribes to a public official during the last year. Here, the corruption top leaders are the states of Yemen (64.3%), Democratic Republic of Congo (56.5%), Angola (51.3%) and Ukraine (50.4%).

Moreover, the global results concerning corruption on political level should also not be left untended. The Global Corruption Barometer have registered 51 countries of 107 that have ranked the political parties to be most affected by corruption among other public sectors such as police, judiciary and media agencies.
